Getting ready for school

We just love measuring and fitting a pair of new shoes. In fact, as you can see Nadia just loves the shoes too much.

Please see our top tips to get the most from your shoes and comfort for your child on those first few days (it will break Nadia's heart if you don't!)....

Tip 1: Wear new school shoes a few times at home. We can exchange if not worn outside. Please look for marks on feet or any signs of discomfort.

Tip 2 Wearing-in shoes before next week helps feet adjust to structured shoes with arch support as your kids have spent the last few weeks in sandals, flip flops or may be bare feet.

Tip 3: Some styles have no padding around the heel/ankle collar & may need softening. You may also need to massage thicker/more solid parts of the shoe especially if your child has sensitive feet.

Tip 4: Encourage your children to wear the correct shoes for the right activity - respect the leather - its a natural product that has no chance against the likes of concrete.

Tip 5 : Want shoes to last? Polish using a wax shoe polish to nourish and hydrate the leather before you wear, spray for good measure to prevent watermarks & keep them looking good! A good wax polish helps to keep out water and polish at least weekly.

PLEASE - Wear your shoes at home BEFORE you go to school, if you are not sure, then please DO NOT wear them out - come in & get them checked.
